trying to understand the ppscu. so i was lookin at my fert on the jd site and it says its 28-0-3 20% Ppscu 35% Biosolids 0.7fe. but i have the label here and im looking at it and it says TOTAL NITROGEN (N) 28.00% - 26.70% Urea Nitrogen (N)* - 1.30% Water Insoluble Nitrogen (N) - then down at the end it relates to *2.80% Slowly Available Urea Nitrogen from Polymer Coated Sulfur
Coated Urea.

so i dont really understand how its 20% ppscu.. sorry if its a dumb ?

Well I am a little confused as well. Without looking at the label to make sure we have it correct. Here is what it should be. If you have a 28-0-3 20%PPSCU then you have 14 units of N with 20% being SCU. So that is 2.8 however Lesco always only claims 90% except for Florida labels where they only claim 50%. The label should say 2.52 slowly available. The bio-solids is a little more grey. You can add bio-solids as filler and not claim the nutrient value or claim some and don't claim the rest. but basically there is 35% of the volume is bio-solid. Just don't make the assumption that you get much more than the 20% Slow-release. Bio-solids are added primarily to lower cost of fertilizer blends.

2.8% ppscu is 10% of the slow release. the other 10% is made up of the WIN and Biosolids, which are slowly released nitrogens.

It's telling you, if you prefer 20% ppscu, this has only 10%, the rest is made up with 2 other forms of nitrogen.
