Has anyone ever dealt with a city/municipality, with regard to maintaining greenspaces (parks)?

Just curious, I mow a city councellors lawn (he oversees parks and recreation dept) He asked me to quote him on a couple properties (including the grounds at city hall)

I guess more than a few of the elected folk aren't so happy with the work the staff are doing.

This is WAY beyond what I was interested in getting into this year, but at the same time, I can think of a few slow paying customers I'd be happy drop like a ton of bricks, to take a more lucrative (and less headache inducing) contract.

Tips/Suggestions?

Andrew

You better make sure that the city employees aren't union because usually it's in their contract that they (union) do all city buildings and the last thing you want is a bunch of city workers pi$$ed off at you.

City equils slow but consistant slow payers.

High Insurance required.

Lots of traffic in and out.

And Head aches galore.

Good Luck, you will now have several bosses for each job.

No one knows what hand is doing what.
