I have a 48'' Exmark Metro (probably mid -late 90s)
It has a brand new Briggs 15.5 Intek motor on it.
Well long story short I rebuilt it and then the transmission went. I only fixed it up to sell it.
We used it for probably one month in the spring and then the tranny went. I repainted the unit, new tires etc. It's a nice machine it just has no transmission.
What do you boy think it's worth? Has sulky too. No bagger

I would say its worth what you paid for the motor.

put a new transmission on her, clean her up, and sell her to a home-owner who doesnt know better!
Around here though, not much, what good is a mower that doesnt move? You would probably be better off replacing the transmission, and then selling for more. otherwise, dont expect to turn a profit from the machine

Well, if he's going to put a new tranny in it then I would say just keep it as a backup mower !!

lol....i know it's useless now..i'm not looking to make profit out of this unit...i don't need it as a backup, I have too many mowers as it is. Trying to make room for my stuff I actually use. I figured if I could get 300.00 outta it as is I'd sell it

Considering the work you have done, I would think if you replaced the tranny you could pull at least 4-500......

so i called my dealer and got a price of $377 for all the parts it needs. it needs a left shaft, pulley & coupler, transmission output shaft, wheel belts and right drive pully....i told him that price was outrageous...anyone know of anywhere that sells older exmark parts online that won't require me to bend over and lube up my butthole

lets see some pics of it, i just bought a 48 inch bobcat belt for 600 and it moved. If its a good shape you might be able to get some cash for it
