Stopped in RP Smith in Succasunna today to browse at some hardscape material and saw that they have a huge Techo display. Have never seen one of these in person (only in pics) and was told that it is the only one in the state of N.J.

Had to get some pics as I thought this is a remarkable display. Stayed there about an hour bs'ing and was told that the crew that did it was from N.Y. and took about 1 week to do the hardscape work.

I recommend that if you are in the area it is certainly worth stopping in to see this display.

They also had a huge inventory of Techo in stock.

Here are some pics of it. Enjoy.

Impressive!

A win win for the dealer, the manufacturer, and for the CONTRACTOR!

Gary Duff built the displays on Long Island. Probably sold his soul to the devil for those contracts. 6-8 guys a day worked on those jobs, and about two weeks to build. All the diplays are pretty much the same his guys can build them in their sleep. I think there's 3 on the Island. I was suprised that he got them because there are some heavy hitters here on L.I.

Those are great displays, and congratulations to Gary Duff, hopefully he gets paid!

As for the win-win, win for the contractor, win for the client, I don't know about the dealer. I know a dealer and he says he it cost $25,000 towards it or they were going to say bye-bye.

In this economy, that sounds like extortion to me.

Those displays are at every Techo-Bloc dealer or are in the process of being installed if they have the room. It is an interesting idea showcasing their building materials, but the paver portion lacks interest and innovation.

The exact same display is at

Astro Masonry & Supply
879 Long Island Avenue
Deer Park, NY 11729
631.242.2567

They are also one of Evening Star's dealers for lighting products. Techo has spent plenty of money building these displays.

I think it's a fantastic idea! Techo is certainly leading the way in innovative marketing ideas....

Mike, do they have the house set up or is it just a paver and wall display?

Just got one like that here in the Lehigh Valley, PA. At AB Natural Stone, off hamilton blvd. Its about twice the size of the one pictured, and it includes the house facades and everything. Gotto love Techo!!!

Reese,

Sorry about the delay getting back to your response. Yes, they have the "house" setup too.
