I bought an 01' F250 Powerstroke about two months ago for a great deal, but knew I had to do body work right away, so I went ahead and did it and here are the results.

Looks good nice work man. What was your teqnique for painting the frame just spray and get as much as possible? i have a 96 dodge that could really use some paint on the frame.

Wow looks great man! Is it gas or did it come with the great 7.3 in it?

I didnt actually do any painting myself, I got that done by my friend who does it professionally. I took the truck apart, sand blasted the frame, and sanded everything that needed to be sanded. He fixed the dents, put new door bottoms in, and painted.

Thats a good way to keep your trucker longer, I should do that one day with my truck, do you put a special paint like anti rust?

Start spraying some kind of rust repeller under the truck seeing as you live in the province Rustario where you deal with snow and lots of road salt.

Those mirrors on the truck are horrible my 2006 F-450 has them and you can't see a d*mn thing. New telescoping mirrors from Ford for the XL version are over 300 bucks each.

Finding used ones in a wrecker are hard to find and I'am not sure about the aftermarket ones.

That should be illegal for a 450 to have the paddle mirrors...

The truck is originally from California so that should explain some things

The mirrors are horrible I have to find some replacements soon.

Thanks for the comments. I definitely want to get tow mirrors, but the paint job costed more money than expected, plus I put a spray in bedliner in, so I'm a little low on funds right now, haha. I did oil the frame when the box was off with fluid film, and then oiled the underside of the box too. Hopefully that'll help some!

Dont know if I trust the aftermarket mirrors. I just got aftermarket lights for the truck (as shown) and I'm not 100% happy with them. I'll prob keep them, but I can definitely tell they are not oem.

Thanks all! I'm very happy with the result. I almost hate driving it because I dont want to get it dirty, especially salt dirty, but what can ya do. I would have preferred to do this all in the summer so it doesn't see salt right away, but since this is my slow time, I figured it'd be best now.
Westcoh, I have a Superchips tuner on it right now, likely a 4" MBRP turbo back exhaust, and intake some time soon. Loving the 7.3 though, very strong engine.

Did you get the chineese led turn signals? There's your problem lol
A friend of mine got them and they look alot better than the stock ones, but when you turn the marker lights on one is a different shade of amber than the other, but the average person will never notice. Not to mention they're nearly impossible to put hideaways into.

Thanks all, very happy with the outcome. I'm washing it about three times a week cause we keep getting about an inch of snow everyday, so there's always salt on the roads!

Oakwdman, ya they are the chinese lights. I bought new amber bulbs so everything matches now.

Ain't that the truth!! I got a steal on mine b/c it needs some body work. The seller said that was a huge turn off to buyers. I didn't care, it's a work truck and I'll fix it eventually. I got to find someone who will do it for cheap.

Ya its not that bad if you know what your doing my dad has a 1973 z28 we restored from frame up everything i can do some body work so its not a turn off to me if its a good deal. Also if you live northern states gonnna have rust its enevitable salt eats stuff. My 1998 ram is holding up pretty good tho. what year truck did yu get ?
