View Full Version : Hello all.

I'm kinda new around here (been lurking for a few months, however) and just wanted to say hi. I've already learned a ton from just reading on here, and hope to learn more and someday be able to contribute as well. I am 38, father of 4, and plan to start a solo lawn care business this spring in the small, western-Oklahoma town in which I live. This business will be in addition to my full time job (production manager for the local daily newspaper). I have insurance already in the works, and will be filing for a DBA within the next couple of weeks.
Have a 2000 Chevy pickup (1/2 ton, 2wd), 6 1/2 by 16 landscape trailer, 1 Scag 36" w/b, 2 Craftsman 21" trim mowers, 1 Craftsman handheld blower, and just bought new Stihl equipment (BR600 BP blower and a FS130R trimmer). Also have misc. hand tools, rakes, shovels, brooms, loppers, chain saw, cheap backup trimmers, etc. Still need to come up with an edger for those overgrown Bermuda lawns that I know I'll be dealing with in early spring, and then I'm set (for now anyway......)
Thank you folks in advance for all the help that I know I'll continue to receive here! Carry on.........

Thanks. If I don't hear back from my insurance agent soon, I'm gonna look elsewhere. She's always been real good with my car insurance, but I've been waiting over two weeks now for her to give me a quote for business insurance. I don't know what the problem is.
