Looking at a new walk behind and was wondering if electric start was worth the $300 extra???????
Thanks

Yes.
Especially if you're using the machine yourself. It's so nice on those cool "3 pull" mornings.
Plus, if you ever want to put a spreader or other assecory on your mower you're set.
Plus resale value.
I've pulled out more recoils then I've replaced starters.

No way....
When it does go bad - $150+ to replace.
Plan on replacing the battery almost yearly.
Just more things to go wrong.

I Think it's worth it. Most of my mowers have the big motor option. So you automatically get electric start.
