Great truck. Dana 60 front end, bullit proof engine, etc. how can you go wrong. The only issue I ever saw with those was on the 5 spd. truck the plastic hydraulic clutch slave would crack once in awhile and leak alittle fluid. You can't kill the rest of the truck or the engine. It might right like beer can on wheels but you are driving miss daisy either.

Pretty hard to find a F-350 reg cab 4x4 srw they only came in reg cab or crew cab no supercab. Find some of the factory Ford aluminum wheels that came on that era trucks that were XLT. You wouldn't want to go much bigger than 33 inch tires with a 351.

I have 285/75/16 right now with 3.55 gears. would like to re-gear to 4.10 in the summer. I have had 5k lbs of dirt in the bed! wouldnt like to do it again but it handled well.

Those tires are too wide for the wheels you can loose a bead if you let the air pressure drop too much. I'am surprised a tire shop mounted those for you.

I have not had any problems with them. I have aired down to 20 psi for the sand regularly. the rim is 7 in. would 8 in. be better?
