Could those that own a Metro 36" w/b or at least know the answers please tell me if this machine is a "true" zero turn machine? I'm talking about a belt machine. Not a hydro.

I'm concerned with trimming as close to objects and obstacles as possible to eliminate the need for using my 21" trim mower.

Additionally, should I get this machine is a fixed deck or floating? The vast majority of my lawns are relatively flat.

Thanks for any advice/comments,

true zero turn?......no........example you could brake the right wheel and keep the left wheel turning.............thats pretty close to zero turn.......When your mowing with a belt drive you should make 1 or 2 passes around the perimeter and then start mowing back and forth. As you get to the end of your cut just drive the machine a few feet into your perimeter pass and make your "near zero turn" for the next pass

in a true zero turn the right and left wheels will actually spin different directions, i.e. clockwise for one and counter clockwise for the other.

Just bought a new 36 exmark........great machine for 2299.

You can get as close to the edge of a lawn as you want.

As far as fixed versus floating......I prefer the fixed deck.
