Heard this very recently from two major suppliers. Both offered current prices for summer products. Don't have to take delivery - just have to book the order soon. Both said after March 1st, prices will increase (especially nitrogen).

Anybody else hearing this? Thanks.

Yes, we're holding prices until mud-March.

It's true. They haven't moved alot since the first of the year, but they are supposed to be increasing in the spring. It would be a good time to do an early order and get extended terms, or use something like the spread it & forget it.

Nitrogen prices have been climbing, they may go higher but I don't think as much as 1 1/2 years ago when they went through the roof

hope not, but we are eliminating some P and K to save dollars, and not apply what is not needed. of course some newer lawns will still need it due to poor soils void of any real nutrients.

thinking still of offering organics as options, need to finish that thought process b4 it is too late, spring will come soon

Nitrogen generally spikes upward in March and April with seasonal demand.
July it generally falls back. Upward spike this spring looks to be muted.

mud-March.

That will be appropriate when all the snow melts.

I've been waiting for someone to catch that. :)
Here in the Philly area we've had over 70" of snow this winter.
