lol we r keeping busy with snow removal and the repairs that come along with that lol.
-trans+lines+trans cooler+u joints+leaky cv boot for our 02 HD
-oil cooler lines+leaky trans line for our 98 dump
-broken something causing leaked fluid on our blizzard plow

the two trucks went down about 3 days of each other and left only our 350 to take care of the storm that hit us on the 6th. the blizzard went down yesterday.

its a cheapie voltex lightbar off ebay. they work great though and usually run for many hours on end during storms and they handle all the vibrations etc... from the trucks hitting piles. the one in the video is a 37" bar and was around $350 iirc, the one on my ford is a 27" bar and was like $240 iirc. I didnt feel like dropping a grand on a whelen or other brand even though i know you get what you pay for.

this is the second rebuild. first one was under warranty when the reverse gear went out around 20K miles.

all the trans lines were rusted badly, we spliced in some rubber trans lines in the worst areas last year, but the line that goes into the trans cooler came off and leaked all the fluid and burned the clutches. the trans cooler was cracked and was leaking before that happend though lol.

we took the truck in thurs of last week and told them we needed it on sat b/c of the storm that was coming. got hit good fri-sat and was waiting on the call that the truck would be done. called the shop, no answer, stopped by, no one there. the dump truck had busted oil cooler lines and i had to sideline that truck as well for the day. the f350 was out doing 150 residential drives and i needed to get a lot down by noon on sat for a party. I ended up roading my ASV to the lot (bout a mile, 2speed ftw!) to get started on the lot, finished up 3/4 of it by the time 2 of our buddies finished their routes and came to help us out. after the lot i sent my buddies to help out my brother on our residential route.

trans, u-joints and everything came to $2100. the guy ended up going to the emergency room sat morning cause he had kidney stones so thats why the shop was closed. I couldnt really be pissed at him after that. he knocked off 200 bucks and didnt charge for the trans cooler replacement.
