I have a 10x40 foot a truck and trailer. My grandfather has let me store it on his land for the last year free of charge. The problem is that when you turn off the road you have to drive about 125 yards down a hill to get where it is flat and I have my container and truck and trailer. The problem is, when it rains it is a huge swamp and I learned not to try and pull the 20' trailer up that muddy hill when its wet. This causes a lot of problems and the cost of crating a gravel road and a gravel pad is well, through the roof but I know my grandfather wouldn't want that anyways.

I am going to call around in town there are places with gravel covering their whole property of a business with a parking lot that could hold 300 cars but on average there are maybe 15-20 cars there.

I'm sure there are some of you who rent land like this until your more established.

What do you think would be a reasonable price range to rent say 100'x50' of a gravel/asphalt space to store the couple items I have?

Are you saying 1.50 sq ft for your office building or to park your equipment? In VA commercial building rent goes for about 0.68 sq ft; I was thinking for that amount of space anywhere from 150-200 a month. There is an office building for rent on a secondary road for 750 a month, 1,000 sq ft with about a 5-6k sq ft parking lot.

The only thing is I don't need an office building yet or can't afford it, just need a place to park my stuff.
