Lift the front up and move spacers on the castors.
Mulch kit, none from what I know of.
They are the makers of the Velke, grass gobbler also.

adjust castors, blade spacers and you can also adjust the rear wheel motors for extreme adjustment.
yes they do offer mulch kits that work great.
no other stander compares to the wright.....these are tough little machines.

the stander..is just that, a stander.
you are refering to the Sentar, you can stand or sit, and yes it is very easy to adjust height.

How does the stander cut when you adjust the front wheel castors? My issue is that some yards I cut a 2.5" and some at 3" due to sun exposure, etc.....I don't want to have to bring out the ratchet set to change blades, will this machine work for me in your opinions?

i demoed one of these and plan to buy one asap and had the same question about hieght adjustments.. the rep showed me a simple way to adjust the height was to drive the stander over to the edge of any sidewalk and hang one of the casters over the edge, then change the spacer, which was very simple, then do the same thing for the other caster and your set... no need for a jack or any tools...

I have a sentar and it cuts great - Mine is a 61 " cut with the kawi 25 hp. the best mower I have used in my 20 yrs of business.

They should cut good.
I have had mowers that you change the geights that way in the past.
you set them for the heighest height you are going to cut at then drop for other lawns if you wish.
Remember that you move the castor spacer that are 1/2 inch that does not change the pitch 1/2 inch.

Lawngodfather,
So if I set it at 3 inches, and have to move to 2.5 inches, it will work fine?

Yes it will work fine.
It is much the same as all the fixed deck mowers. They were out long before floating decks.

Dear DMK395,
If you are a stickler for accuracy then you may have a problem with the deck hight on the Stander. Here's why: if you set the rear wheels at their lowest postion then the max front spacing hight you can get is 2.5 inches. To get anything higher you will need to redjust the rear wheels- not a simple thing to do in the field (for me any way).
99% of my large yards are centipede and bermuda. I had the back wheels put on the lowest setting. The yards that are st. augustine I cut with my Snapper (fixed deck also) at 3.5" - 4.0".
This takes all the headackes away for me.
I think the Stander cuts very well. Especially with gators on it. Can't comment on the bagger. Have plans to get some expanded metal put over the discharge shute at the end of summer. Costs much less than a 'mulching kit' $50.00 in stead of $150.00. My Snapper shute stays blocked off because it's a 'trimmer mower' any way.
Very glad I got my 52" Wright Stander. When I have to buy another mower because of growth I will probably buy the Wright Sentar. It has a fully adjustable deck.

Payed 6,300.00 and some change (including the tax). It's a 52". Got it straight from the distributor on a 'one night special' on a dealership open house.

I have been all over the internet and I can't seem to find a mulch kit for a wright stander. I guess all I need to know is, do I just need a mulch plate to cover discharge opening and If so how hard would it be to fabricate one.

PHIL, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN PREFERNECE WHEN IT COMES TO STANDERS ESPECIALLY BETWEEN WRIGHT AND DANE BUT THE DANE IS MUCH EASIER TO ADJUST, HAS A WIDER FOOT AREA AND A FLOATING DECK AND THE 52" SUPER SURFER IS 6 GRAND. JUST A THOUGHT

Here we go ...
Yes, the Wright Standers do have mulch kits. They are still very simplistic in their design, basically a flat plate over the discharge chute, and the newer versions have block off baffles between the blades. They shouldn't be any more than maybe $120 -$150 for the three bladed versions (1 discharge plate and two baffle plates).
Do not use doubles with them, you will get too much airflow and cause blow out. I have found that high lift Gators are probably the best choice for this setup.
An option, as was mentioned before, is to just get a piece of expanded steel of the correct size and block off the discharge chute ... that should work fine and cost less than the complete kit.
