What size mower is it going on? Don’t forget, the bigger the engine the more fuel you will use. I went from 22 horse engines to a 27 and a 32. same size mower but a hell of a lot more fuel usage.

If you plan on mowing on a weekly basis I would recommend the smaller engine. If they are going to be monthly or something like that then go with a bigger engine so it cuts taller crap easier.

i got a 26efi....i like it because it uses less fuel than one with a carb and it has plenty of power...the only downside is they are very expensive if something goes wrong....but if it's new i'd go efi no ? asked.....you will have no problems and the fuel savings will pay dividends

I'd go for the 26EFI. It has more power and better fuel economy than the 23 carb motor. I's not always true that the bigger the motor the more fuel it's going to use. The 26EFI even uses less fuel than the Kohler 20hp. If you do end up getting the 23 it will have plenty of power to run the 48" deck and it can definately run the 62" deck as well. The difference will be when cutting tall thick grass with the 62" deck. It will cut just fine, you will just have to run a little slower.

i would get the efi, you never have to choke it. turn the key and go. i would think even though it has a higher horse power the fuel is more controlled so you would use about the same or maybe less.

I think you made the right decision in getting the 23hp. The EFI engines are nice, but replacement parts are much more expensive. The 23 is powerfull enough to power the GHS system. The Walker is a great mower for what it's designed to do, a beautiful cut and excellent bagging.

yea im very excited about my purchase. i will be one of the only companies in my area that offer bagging so im hopeing to carv out a nich for myself. i did alot of research on the walker mower and other bagging mowers such as the exmark navagator. it came down to the versility of the walker and my walker dealer is very good. thanks for all the input guys
