2008 model used the last 1.5 summers on 4-5 lawns. Mower is in excellent condition. I'm selling because I also have a 48" (same model) and need a rider. It has a 17hp Kaw engine. Will consider trades for a comparable valued rider. Make me an offer, you never know. The pic is of the 48". Can get you pics of the 52" if needed but it is same as one in pic.

I have 2 of them. A 48" and a 52". When I started out, I bought 2 walk behinds and really need a rider now as I'm getting some larger jobs. So I'd like to sell one of them to put towards a rider.

If you (a potential buyer) haven't used this type of control, it is FAR superior too pistol grips. I have one (48") and it is great! Just picked it up this week.

Bump for excellent mower!

Respectively--I think the pistol grips are much more comfortable and a more natural position for your hands--you have to keep wrists slightly bent and thumb gets tired unless you rest your entire hand on top of the controls--I used both for many years--I do like the crank deck on the snapper, though you have to keep the cranks oiled and somewhat debris free otherwise it gets all crossthreaded--also after long use, the safety features are a little fickle, need maint every so often--and the locking mechanisms for the loop handles needs replacing every so often otherwise the machine will slip out of (what you would call a neutral position) and start driving--(also noticed guys with small hands have trouble gripping/putting hands on the loop handles and the safety/rear handle at same time--

--tracking control nice.
--adjustable deck is nice
--hyro motors work and run well
--overall a very good machine--like driving a Cadillac--makes mowing easy

price seems a little high, a new snapper sw30 52" starts at 4599.

Mine has all available upgrades, etc. And the new ones aren't the same machines as this model. I'll never understand why they went back to the bicycle grips. Anyway, make an offer if you're interested. Mine was $5600 new.

That's odd. Everyone I know says the exact same thing about the bicycle grips that you're saying about the loop handles. Not trying to come back at you or anything but the loop handles really give you 3 different hand positions to chose from (side, corner, top).

Running a pistols grip years ago put my carpal tunnel on the edge of crippling. It forced me to have surgery. Everything is good now and pistol grips are no longer in my arsenal. These Snappers are great machines. Very comfortable to run.

I'm going to trade in this weekend at $2900 if no one wants it. I'd rather someone buy it for trade in value rather than let a dealer make more money off of it. Let me know. Now $2900 firm.
