I was mulching leaves the other day and smelled something burning not all the time just every now and then smelled kinda like the belt, but it is tight.I have noticed that the blades don,t engage like they used to. Use to almost kill the mower when i engaged the blade now it seems to be slipping when i first engage them is there a adjustment on the pto clutch mower still has 1 year of warranty but i hate to take it in last time i had it at dealers he said that he couldn,t find a oil leak that i ended up having to fix myself.
P.S I don,t engage the blades at high RPMS or turn them off at high RPMS
Thanks

Can you post your model and serial # for me?
It does sound like clutch...
If it has a Warner clutch there is not a way to adjust the clutch.
If it is a older unit with a Ogura clutch then it is adjustable.

Ok...
That is certainly going to be a Warner clutch on your unit.
The clutch is covered under the 2 year warranty.
The warranty started the day you bought it.
So your within your warranty period as long as it was a "new" demo unregistered unit when you bought it.
Your going to need to get it in to your dealer for the repair.

There isn't a test, other than the dealer checking the unit out and seeing what your experiencing.
If they find it to be defective then they should replace it for you.
