It's a F450 super duty 2wd. 15,000gvrw.
7.3 power stroke with 113,000 miles. Automatic. No leaks.
electric over hyd dump.
Solid cab and chassis.
Could use a paint job & dump floor replaced(bowed between crossmembers)
Xl package, not even AC

Never owned a powerstroke. Not sure what to look for. But the miles are low. Runs strong. Turbo spools up. Said it might need glows plugs since it didn't want to start when it was cold. They added a block heater and said it would start after that. Does that make sense? Like I said not familier with diesels.

What's this truck worth? Isn't Gravel rat the authority on this?

I prefer the longer wheelbase F-Superduty but that truck will haul a good load it will just ride really rough. The F-Superduty trucks are rough riding I have owned 3 of them but they were the 161 wheelbase with a 11-12 foot body. I know some have retrofitted a air suspension seat in the F-Superduty trucks. The short wheelbase ones like the red one is a real pogo stick.

The biggest problem is tires you never want to buy cheap tires for the F-Superduty trucks they eat 235/85R16 rubber like you wouldn't beleive. You also want to run the best brake pads you can get and new brake rotors. These trucks do run 4 wheel disk brakes but they can haul more weight than the 15,000lb gvw.

The trucks I had were all 5spds with that red truck having a E4OD it may need a rebuild.

I went to "Superduty" F-450s for the reason of bigger brakes and 19.5 tires I would be still using a F-Superduty if the braking power could be increased.

If the price is right buy the truck if it doesn't have high miles.

He's asking $6K. Got him a little lower. Won't go under $5,500.

Well this would be replacing my 77 F350 4x4 dump. I didn't think the Fsuperduty rode bad. I noticed it had 4 wheel disk which was good. No leaks under truck. Everything was dry. No rot on oil pan either.

It has 113K miles on it. He said he'll take $5,500

In the ad it said F450 on the fender it said Fsuperduty. Any difference?

No just fords way of spicing the name up. Id say thats a very good deal. Id jump on it. Glow plugs are pretty cheap to replace.

Why in the heck are you pondering at buying the truck get the cash and pay the man and drive away. At that price that truck would be on the market around here for 2 days and it would be gone. If it truely has 113,000 miles or 181,000 kilometers that is a good buy.

The F-Superduty is a F-450 the truck has a 15,000lb gvw the F-Superduty was made from 88-97 then when the new body style came in Ford when to 19.5 wheels, bigger brakes and straight frame rails behind the cab. The name changed to F-450 when in 99 Ford badged the F-250-350 as "Superduty".

The F-Superduty was popular with tow truck operators and people in the trucking industry. They hauled far more weight than a F-350.

How about me being spot on. lol. Things happen for a reason, something better will come along. I waited a year to find my Dump, looking back I'm glad I held out for the right one.
