I went back about 10 threads and didn't find what i was looking for. Here is my question(s).

I'm trying to sell by business by offering a variety of service-as i would imagine most good business men do- I am not ready to get into fertilizing this year, i'm in the process of sending out bids and estimates (residential and commercial) right now and i know people are looking for fertiliztion. Well i'm not saying that i'm going to sub out this year but i wanted to do some research on it.

A.) What would the contract look like or include for the commercial account to let them know i would be sub-ing out their fert. and what would the contract look like or include for the fert. guy? ( i have found a smaller local company that has a good rep around here that i would probably go with)

B.)basically what are the pros and cons of sub-ing. Any tips and advice would be great, it will help a lot as i am putting these bids togehter, i'm trying to have them all (commercial out by next Friday). I realize i'm putting them in later in the bidding season, but i'm hoping for the best, this is my second year in business, and i'm still learning a lot. Thanks a bunch

Here in Michigan you must place in the contract that the work will be subbed and you must provide the name and address of the company doing the work.

That's it basically.

For a few years it wasn't legal to sub work out because technically without an applicator license you haven't shown or proved your skills in identifying problems and or your ability to use or recommend pesticides, so they didn't want you anywhere near selling it.

Fortunately the changed the rules.

It has nothing to do with fertilizing. It has everything to do with pesticides.
