Just wondering what is the smallest vehicle that you have used or seen to tow a 16' enclosed trailer. Thinkin about upgrading trailer size and debating whether a 5.2 4x4 Dakota has got the pullin and stopping power. Do most 16' come with brakes or are they options? If so, how recommended are they, this trailer would see minimal use (30ish customers max) and no highway traveling. I don't necessarily need a 16' now but I foresee equipment and customer number upgrades in the near future and would rather not have to buy and sell another trailer. Most cargo I foresee would be two zero turn ride on mowers, assuming those would both fit.

Thanks for any help.

whats the GVWR on the truck I would think the 5.2 should have enough power

That would pull it fine just dont overload the trailer and expect to win any races.

You need brakes on the trailer for sure if your pulling it with a Dakota. As long as you are being easy on your truck, it should make it. A nice 1/2 ton would be your best bet. Get brakes on whatever enclosed you get!!

My 5.9L Durango pulled my 27' TT with ease. The 5.2 Dak will easily handle a 16' enclosed.
