What to Cut?

I am new to the business and I was wondering if you trim arborvitis(sp?) These are along the property line and I thought they were more like a privacy bush/tree and you just let them grow as much as you wanted to. I could always ask the customer if they wanted them trimed but I wanted to give them my opinon.

Its preferance in my opinion. I personally like a row of arborvitaes trimmed like a hedge...other like them more natural. Just keep in mind just how big they will get if not prunued at all.

What type of arbs are we talking about??? Are they Emerald Greens, Great Americans, Giant????

Also, what is the goal of the customer...do they want them tall, wide???
