Problem with SD Hydro filter

I've purchased an 08 Super Duty 54 inch model 928382 with 97 hours on the clock. I thought I'd change the filter and fluids in the hydro pumps just so I know when it was last done.

I purchased the filters at the local Hustler Dealer, #768341 was printed on the side of each. When I removed the old filter I noticed it was about 1/4 of an inch smaller in diameter than the new one. However the mounting plate on the Hydro drive looked large enough to handle the larger size, but no matter how much I tighten the new filter it would not seal. I even tried both new filters to see if maybe I got a bad filter. I called another dealer and he verified that I had the correct filter to fit my SD. Upon further inspection it appears the new filter is not making it past the lip around the face plate.

2800 is stamped on the drives and HYDRO GEAR 2L-GPEE-3K5A-1FXX in printed on a label stuck on the drive.

Anybody got any ideas? Does anyone know the correct filter?

The filter you have in your possession is for a Mini Z or Hustler Z with pumps and wheel motors or our older series walk behinds.
Hustler part # 600976 is the filter you need for the ZT2800's in your Super Duty.
