I am looking at a large property ( 100 acre range ). I have the option to buy or lease a Ford 3930 Diesel tractor. It is pulling a Befco with 3 six foot fold down finish decks. I need to know what kind of production ( acres per hour ) this will produce? Its all flat wide open mowing. Also, What kind of fuel consumption can I expect from the tractor per hour? Hopefully someone has some experience and seat time on something like this. Thanks in advance.

Cutting 17 feet wide at around 6 mph will yield you around 10 acres per hour give or take a couple depending on the terrain and your efficiency. That tractor is a good match for a mower that size and you should be looking at 2.5 gallons of fuel per hour. What tires are on the tractor? Because at 5200lbs for just the 2wd model, ag tires are going to tear up the lawn in a hurry if it matters. Maybe its just pasture and it doesn't matter. idk?

It does have the big lug ag tires on it. Its mostly out of view so to speak on the areas its being used for. Everything up close is mowed with ztr's and walkbehinds. Thanks for your reply.
