I have someone interested in a stone installation. Thay are asking for 2 ton of 3/4 red stone spread 2 ft by 88 ft. Also included, landscape fabric and black poly edging "garbage" and 14 blue star juniper or gold thread cypress. What would your ball park estimate be. Stone $80 for 2 ton and roughly $13 on the shrubs a piece.thanx for your responses.

Yes, i have been doing this for a long time. This was forwarded to me from someone just starting out. A 16yr old. I am away in florida and i told him i would post this to give him an idea. He is not a member and can't post so i posted for him. He wanted to see everyone's responses.

It's just too open-ended of a question. The ballpark is huge when you talk rock. We can go from 60 a ton for river rock up to 140 a ton for some specialized decorative rock.
88 feet by 2ft by 88 ft. is 176 square feet and I generally get around 130 square per ton, but that's all indicative of what type of rock I'm using.
Don't forget, prep work is key with a rock bed. You also need fabric, pins, and some sort of edging to keep it in place. Sounds like you'll need to look at in person if you really want to help this guy out.
