How much do you guys charge for bed edging? I just had a couple people ask me to edge some beds for them so they can mulch it. Thanks

A lot. Im still foggy early in the season, but iirc, .25/ft

Ive never had anyone tell me thats too much. I'd hand them a shovel if they did.

I asked my cousin, he owns his own landscaping business and he said he gets between $1.00 and $1.15 a ft. I will also be using a bed edger not a shovel.

Your cousin is doing damn good then.

He may be trying to cover the cost of the bed edger, but I'm personally not sure how much to charge so I'm interested to see what some others say too.

STEEL: so far I dont really like it. It works alright with dry dirt but if its a little wetit wont even throw it out of the edge, it just piles up. I am looking into getting different blades for it.

same here. I tried a different blade same result. It seems to make more of a mess than anything else. i think it's more of a trencher than edger.

yea. that is what I think too. How much did you pay for yours. I only payed $345 for mine. I found it on eBay. It was new.

I get a dollar a linear foot, cut and removed. This generally reflects beds that have not been edged or have been neglected. At times, there is a good deal of material to be removed after the edging is done, so as to accomodate the plantings drip line. I do offer a price reduction over 450 linear feet. In addition, I will bid my mulch jobs at times, with edging included. Triple shredded dark hardwoods at $100 a yard installed.
