Man, a couple days of aerating lately really beat home the fact that I let myself go too much this winter.

Feels good to get back out in the sun and move some more though.

Every winter I feel the same way. It takes a few good sweats to get the feel for things again.

It's funny I usually lose weight in the winter because I have more time to go running/lift but last year had a couple surgeries that left me out of action during most of the break.

But, you're right it always takes a couple days to get back in the swing.

Gained about 20lbs this winter. First job I did was a 6 hour brush cleanout that should have taken 4. Next job was 11 yrds of mulch going into a backyard, from the road to the backyard is about 100' down hill at a 40-45 degree slope, down hill not bad but just the empty wheelborrow up hill my legs where on fire and probably would have felt worse if I could catch my breath. In a few months I will be able to do that with no problem again, I hope.

I didn't gain a pound of fat during the winter, but i workout everyday so that would explain why.

Epic Lawn I hear you. I left the restaurant business to start my business and didnt lose a pound. I was fat in fall and still fat in spring. 6'2" and 280lbs. The only good so far is I dropped 10 from divorce stress.lol. Any of you guys let your employees ride the mowers all day and you walk with the string trimmer to keep the weight off?

Didn't really gain weight but definitely not in the aerobic shape coming out of winter as I was, say, in September of last year.

I do russian kettlebells 2-3 days per week (since Feb), which helps me segway into the lawn season in decent shape.

I'm 5'7". Went from 148 to 151 over the winter just trying to put some weight on before the "season". I'll drop that back off shortly. I try to ride my bike 4 miles a day. It was really windy yesterday and rainy today. I hope to get back on it tomorrow.

Same here, especially since graduating high school. In school, I always was in shape for football, not anymore....:dizzy:

I think I need to go back to walk behind mowers. Maybe I shouldn't sell the Wright walk behind after all.....
