I have a ferris mower and am looking to run dixie chopper's x blade on my mower. I was just wondering what blades you guys stack with them?

I haven't done it but I've heard guys using a high lift and a mulching blade with the mulching blade on top.

Whats your engin HP? Double blades draw a lot of extra HP and you may not have enough engin to spin them.

Right now I have a 25 hp Kohler, but am looking to put this motor in it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=190338610482&Category=82248&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2#ht_7962wt_941. Just to be clear I am not just stacking two blades on top of one another, I am going to buy Dixie Choppers X Blade which should fit my ferris and am wondering if I should run a twist, high lift or something else with it. Thanks again for any help.

Does nobody have any experience with these blades? Or is this just a dumb question?

Welcome to lawnsite. This topic has been beaten to death every year. Us older folks are tired of talking about it. Most of us have done our own testing of blades just to see the resualts on the properties we service. You are better off expermenting with different high lift blades than trying to run doubles or X blade set . The standard high lift blade for most mowers is .800" high. Stens and Oragon both make blades with a higher lift that will give you better performance and be cheaper in price than doubles and not overload your engin. Use the serch feature and spend a week reading or go to your dealer and reserch the blades that are available for your mower.
