Looked at trim mowers today. Here's some of what I found:

JD JS61 = $379

Is JD really that good or are you just paying for a name?

Toro 20016 = $299

The Toro has the Tecumseh engine and I've been told by some people (including a Toro dealer) to stay away from it. On the other side of the coin, just starting out the price is right, includes bag and mulch plate. I would be lucky to use this mower 2 hours/week. Would this (Toro) hold up for me at all?

Thanks for all opinions,

Joel B.

:blob3: I have used a JD JS63 for two years now been good so far.
I do think that JD is a little over priced but I have green blood.

For the amount of time that you said you would use this mower
I would take the Toro and save some money for other equipment,
The Tecumseh engine has had (some) bad problems, but I kinda look at it like this you can get a lemon with any peice of equipment. Check the warranty time on it. Good Luck

Another vote for John Deere. It is worth the cost. John Deere is well known for excellent dealer service.
