and that means it's time to start posting pics of springtime fluid filming procedures:cool2:

we have 2 sets of wheels for our trailer. since it sits more often than it gets used we're gonna switch back and forth between the 2 sets each spring to help prevent dry rotting. of course fluid film will help that cause as well:weightlifter: sprayed the sidewalls of the tires, the rims, hubs, lug studs and, leaf springs:weightlifter::weightlifter: the last picture shows the rim that was on the trailer all of last year and how well ff protected it, just notice how easy the dirt wiped off:weightlifter::weightlifter:

november 30, 2009. the mower got put on the trailer and did not come off again until april 3, 2010. the trailer sat outside all winter under a waterproof tarp that was covered in snow plenty times. granted it was off the ground but moisture is still involved. the following pics show just how well fluid film stands up and protects for months at a time:weightlifter::weightlifter: the littls bit of rust u see was there to begin with and what appears to be rust by the back wheels is dried grass that i never got the chance to clean off b4 putting her away for the winter

cut my lawn for the first time this season yesterday. took these pics immediately after. can someone/anyone who says fluid film doesn't help to keep the grass from sticking to the deck show me where grass is stuck to my deck?:hammerhead:

also got pics of a nice freshly brushed on application:weightlifter:

When some of the guys on ls say that it doesn't work under the deck, I tell them they must be applying it wrong. If it holds up in my conditions then it should work for most!

gave the receiver hitch and ball mount a nice fresh coat:weightlifter: i have one of the trailer balls where it's the shank and you choose what size of the 3 balls you need and put it on. neither the inside of the ball, the shaft or, the outside of the ball have been coated since sometime last summer. as the pics show the shaft and inside of the ball still don't need to be coated:cool2::cool2: i did spray the outside of the ball tho:)

CAUTION!- the following pictures are graphic and may not be suitable for those with a weak heart. proceed at your own risk:waving:

when i packed the trailer/equipment away for the winter i purposly left my 2 scrapers and a pair of pruners in the basket on my mower to see if they would survive the winter without the protection of fluid film. we already know the mower survived because of it's fluid film coat. remember, you have been warned that the pictures are graphic...

if you store your mower outside in the winter all year long and your mower looks that good that alone is a testament to fluid film. Go to your nearest home depot, lowes or garden center that leave the equipment out and flip up the foot plate of a ztr mower. Look at the pulleys and you will find rust on the bearings. thats why I keep my mowers inside and fluid film my demo(that and it cleans up nicely that way:))

it gets stored outside year round. it sits on the trailer and while i do try to have the tarp on the trailer when i know it's going to rain there's been pleanty of times it's gotten rained on. so, it gets constant exposure to moisture especially when the humidity rolls in

put a new ball mount on the trailer. found a lot of nice heavy rust underneath the old one. fluid film to the rescue:weightlifter: coated the underneath of the new mount and, also added a hitch mount so we have a place to keep the hitch when it aint on the truck. since it's liberally coated with ff it aint the nicest thing to touch or place somewhere:laugh::laugh:

Skynyrd, To be 100% correct what you did was replace the coupler on the trailer, not the ball mount. Pics look good though.

I LOVE how Fluid Film shines up plastic. It will lubricate rubber trim nicely, too!

As far as being out of the office, I've been on the road for the last couple of weeks and have been busy with other stuff besides the forums to deal with lately. I'll be back next week!

i built a basket on our trailer to house the gas cans. got tired of lifting the cans in and out so i upgraded to the blitz fuel station:weightlifter: mounted it on sunday and of course i just had to fluid film it:cool2: sprayed it on then rubbed it in like a wax. did the body of the tank and the hose as well:weightlifter:
