Welcome dr grass, is the grass starting to brown there yet? I was there last week and it looks likes it's drying up quick. I'll be in Fenton after the long weekend setting a house, might have to jump in the lake to cool off if it's as bad as last week. Last week we were near Marine City on Harsen's Island and just about cooked.

Welcome! Look forward to your input on LS (Lawnsite).
Use Search (upper right of screen) to look up threads about certain subjects you are interested in and see what has been said in the past. Its okay to comment on these and bring them back up to the top so we can "hear" your thoughts....
Grass does smell good when its cut! We have some customers who come outside when we're done just for that reason -- to see their nice lawn and smell the newly mowed grass!
Take care and enjoy!

Welcome dr grass. Another Michigan mower to LS. I love that state. I'm due west of you over the lake.
You will love this site. If you started reading old posts now, you would be reading for 16 more years.
Good Luck.

WOW! ! what a great response from you all. thanks a million. yes, the grass is starting to brown up here a little in the corners and in thinner sections. we're on lunch break right now, and i just told my employee 4 lawns ago to start skipping the string trimming where it donesnt need it. this is the third week that we've been cutting 1/2 inch higher to keep some color in the lawns. i cant believe some of the people around here are still hacking these lawns down to that nasty brown stuff below the green! i guess they dont like making money as much as i do. i figure i can get 2-3 more weeks work when the weather finally turns against us, by cutting them higher earlier. none of the clients have said one work about it to me either. they obviously realize that their grass looks much better than their neighbors that cut their lawn 2 inches shorter than we do. besides, i hate the smell of dry burnt up grass! lol. do any of you do this also? well, my employees back from lunch so i guess its back to work!!
take care
