I was wondering if it is easier charging by the square foot or the hour when doing a commercial account and what the common going rate?????:dizzy:

Your customer is going to want you to charge by the job. As far as figuring the price to quote you can use a combination of square feet, and difficulty to determine how many hours it will take you to cut it. This will depend upon what size and type equipment you have, how fast you are, how much trimming is involved, how many obstacles (trees etc).
You are the only one who can figure out all the variables to determine a price.
Most people on this site are trying to get anywhere from $35.00-100.00 an hour depending on what your regional market will bear. Usaully Commercial accounts are worth more because the insurance is higher.:dizzy:

Try looking in the search section of lawnsite. There are alot of old post that could help you decide what you need to charge. The search is a great tool for people starting out and you don't have to what for these guys and gals to reply.:sleeping:
