WE have a large pull behind ODB Leaf Vac. We have a 3 bay garage but store this outside just so we have more room. Tried starting it last week forf a cleanup. Nothing. Someone had stolen the battery. Good way to start your morning.

One does have to stop and wonder thou...
And I'm not saying it isn't possible...

But I've lost countless hand tools in the past 2-3 years, and at some point it got
so bad I THOUGHT someone was stealing them, by hand tools I mean shovels,
rakes, anything non-power, hand sprayers and shears, too!

Some did show up a year or so later :p
Turns out I had just left them at a customer's house.

Granted, I don't think you would have left the battery someplace like that,
but are you SURE you didn't pull it meaning to replace it, then never did?

Because why wouldn't they take the whole dang machine :p
Anyhow, lets hope that's all it is.

I've heard of batteries being stolen before, one of my buddies parked his car somewhere for the night when he got out to the car he hit his key fob to lock the doors, comes out to unlock his car with the key fob. Nothing gets over to the car doors are still locked so he unlocks the doors with the key, no lights, trys to start it nothing. pops his hood the battery is gone, along with everything in his glove box, couple dollars in change, ipod, a microphone for his navigation, a backpack for school bag of clothes and some tennis rackets. Never found out who did it.
