Can someone please tell me what went wrong or what I need to do in order to get rid of the dandelions?
I sprayed last year with "speed zone" and didn't have any dandelions. But they all seem to have returned already this year.
Please help.
Thanks

Dandelions are a plant that starts in the fall--and blooms in the spring--and then persists because it is a perennial. Spray in the fall when temps drop down to about 65.

plus if you have neighbors that have dandelions, you will always have them, in your lawns. bummer, here is a link:

Dandelions must be the easiest weed to treat, but they do come back in from the neighbors.

Gallery 75 DF will keep dandelions out if regular maintenance doesn't.

I'd recommend a judicious program with fall overseeding instead though.

I agree, you will always need to treat chemically, that's why they need your maintenance program, but suggesting a fall overseeding makes you more money and affirms to the customer you are trying to minimize the problem with sound horticultural practices, also suggest a soil test and sell lime etc.
Sometimes these problems turn into opportunities.
