I am replacing a pin that broke so the driveshaft would not turn. The splines on the end of the shaft were bone dry. Should I grease them or is there so much dirt in that area that you don''t grease at all.

if it is not a sealed area you should never put any fluid type lubricant in a place of dirty enviroment. you end up with lapping compound.
