GREEN INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL FIELD DAY AND TRADE SHOW

Held at American University in Washington DC on July 25, 2002

This is an outdoor demonstration/instruction event. Sessions offered about Trees, Landscape Design/Architecture, Turf and Landscape Maintenance.

Turf Topics include: New EPA Efficiency Standards for 2 Cycle Engines--see a demonstation of engine efficiency testing, Weed ID and control, Where and how to use Soil Surfactants plus several more. Landscape maintenance topics include DOT inspection procedures--what happens when you are pulled over, IPM tour on campus, maintaining water features, On-site equipment repairs to 'save' your day plus several more.

Trade show vendors bring equipment to try out.

There were 20 sessions covering everything from cleaning out the crowns of huge trees to DOT inspections to weed id in ornamental beds and painting logos on turf. The weather was cool and the attendance was great. The trade show vendors were pleased with the interest generated. All-in-all, a very good day.
