Questions from a beginner

Hello, I have a few questions about my lawn...Im located in Knoxville,TN and am lost when it comes to getting my lawn looking good.

My lawn has weeds and its looking like crap! Can anyony help me on what process and steps to take to remove the weeds and start working toward a green thick lawn this spring/summer?

I'm just up the road in Kingsport. You are going to need some spraying equipment. What do you have? Where do you live? I'm down there often and will be glad to look at you lawn and advise you. Do you have any type of fertilize spreader?
Could you possible post a photo of your worst part of your lawn and how much turf are you going to be working with?
