When to mow

Hello all

Looking for opinions on this scenario:

Customer "A" has a weekly mowing contract and the grass is growing crazy and should be cut more than once a week to look nice do you:

Go ahead and mow more than once a week and charge accordingly.

Call the customer first and ask if they want it mowed more often.

Keep mowing weekly and wait for the customer to call and request more frequent mowings.



Who determines when to pick up leaves, you or the customer? Do you wait for them to call and tell you they want leaves picked up or do you start picking up leaves when you feel the time is right?

If you have a contract, and have time to hit it more, then give them a call by all means. People want to be noticed, and this client will probably appreciate the attention.
As far as leaves, pick them up when you want.
reseeding bare spots isn't worth it.

Agree with Ax Man. Since you have a weekly contract, I would not automatically mow more than once a week and charge more. Neither would I wait till the customer says something. I would call them and inform them of the rapid growth of their lawn and the benefits to the health of their lawn of mowing more than once a week and ask them if they would like it mowed more often.
