I recently purchased a 4400 and it has the dual trim deck on it.my problem is that the fellow i purchased it from took it upon his self to replace the right angle gear box on the deck with one from a combine.problem is that the gearbox that came on the unit turned counterclockwise and the one on the mower turns clockwise.i replaced the blades so that the thing would cut but i would like to find the factory gearbox.it was originally made by agrigear but i cant seem to find one of these anywhere.any help would be appreciated.

The gearbox was made by Agrigear, we no longer offer those ones, we do offer a new gearbox though, they are available from your Hustler dealer, they are expensive.
Do you buy chance have the old broken gearbox? they are rebuild-able.

no i do not have the original, the deck has two counterclockwise blades and one clockwise.with the factory gearbox. i put one counterclockwise and two clockwise.it changes the way it discharges the grass from the outsides to the middle rear.not really an issue because i purchased this at auction from kentucky horse parks and have very little money in it.has 2400 hours and the paint still looks perfect and the deck is not dented or beatup.the reason they sold it is because they changed the gearbox and the blades were turning backwards and not cutting.took me about 5 minutes to figure out what they had done.I would just like to put it back factory.

You can order the gearbox and get your deck back to original.
The gearbox for your unit is Hustler part # 532861
Check with your local dealer for pricing.
