on my 27 kawasaki when i push the little knob to full throttle the cable moves the plate which sends more gas to the carbeurator.sorry thats kind of a crude description.anyhow, when the plate moves all the way to full throttle it hits the set screw that keeps it from going any farther.is it ok for it to be touching that screw or is that going to cause my engine to run at to high of an rpm.the reason i am asking is because when i pushed it to full throttle it would back off a little bit unless i held it up there with my thumb and it wouldnt reach full rpm.i bent the little end of the cable just a tad bit up from where it was and put it back in and now it does not back off and the throttle plate is touching the set screw.by the way i never adjusted the set screw so it is exactly where the factory set it.this should not allow my engine to run at too high of aqn rpm.is this correct?or did i f!#$ something up.
