JD 325 deck engagement

Hi all, I have a JD 325 lawn tractor. Lately when I pull the switch to engage the 48" deck I have been getting a delay and recently I had a delay that lasted a few minutes before it engaged. It started in the beginning of this year and notice a slight delay and the delay has increased since. There are also times when there is no delay. My assumption is that the switch is faulty but I thought I would check in with the pros :weightlifter: to get their opinion before I head down to the dealer. The tractor has about 705 hours on it and was manufactured in 1998.

That would be my guess. I would also check for loose connections between the pto clutch and the switch. If it were the clutch itself you wouldn't get any engagement at all. Give you dealer a call and describe your problem they should be able to tell you what is wrong, but I think it's the switch.
