Hello all,

I'm having a weird gas tank issue. If I fill up both tanks on my Fastrak 44" it seems that one tank is back draining into the other one. I can't take off the cap from the tank that always seems full because there is so much pressure built up, the gas gushes out! Gas even bubbles and leaks out with both caps on tight. But only on one side or the other.
I've tried fixing it by buying new gas caps, but still a no go. I've replaced all the gas lines and the shut valves work fine on both tanks. The only way around the issues it to run one tank at a time and keep one shut off until the other one is about empty.
(Honda 18.5 hp)

Any suggestions? ..Thanks Brian

How old is your unit? the first couple of years of the FasTrak we didnt have a fuel valve to switch from tank to tank, you can install one if you like, it is Hustler part # 745059

It's an 02 or 03 I believe, It has separate fuel shut offs for the tanks. I may just run one tank or the other to get buy.. Thanks for the reply

Your correct, you do have the turn in valves on the bottom of each tank, you can open them both and install a fuel tank switch in the lines where the three way connector is now, you will then be able to switch from tank to tank from right behind the seat.
