Has anyone placed the JD light kit onto their 900 series ztr? If so, how you you like it and what was the cost? Would it be just as good to buy some lights from walmart?

Like a novelty.
All it is, my opinion.
Unless you're mowing commercially I find lights to be of little use,
the constant shocks on the machine break the elements inside
requiring frequent light bulb replacement and they're not cheap...
Think Halogen, $11 each and they break a lot, even when they're not being burned.
Then mowing at night is really only all right on your own property IF the neighbors don't
complain and even then it's not the same as mowing in the daytime.
You do as you want, I installed them on mine 3-4 years ago and at first thought
it was the neatest thing but the light switch gave out in the weather as well
thou I can still hot wire them but I haven't used them in the past 2-3 years, just got
tired of it, I find them about as useful as curb feelers.

I am using the mower commercially. Further, I will be using the mower in the evenings after my normal job. I think 15-30 minutes of additional light may go a long way.

If I end up putting lights on my z820, I am going the LED route for the durability reasons.

Can you tell me what LED lights you purchased and where I can find them?
