$4500 +tax for the 48" with the Briggs 26hp ELS.

$4900 +tax for the 52" with a Kawasaki 19. He said this was last years model at a discounted price.

My lot is 1 acre of just grass and a few pines. Also plan on cutting my elderly neighbors yard also and maybe his 2 acres in the country.

I know this mower is overkill for what I have, but I'm tired of my $800 mower and want to move up to something nice.

I got the freedom z with the briggs 48. i love it .I have about 25 lawns and it works well for me. I only have about 250hrs on it tho.

that being said i would go with the kawi 52. Kawi is way superior and the extra 4 inches will help, thats what she said

MS is singing the same tune I've been forever, TORQUE is the only true engine spec to compare. Dump an extra 9-10 percent on the Kawi and you'll never suffer "buyers remorse". A lot of people are happy with their Briggs 26 but there is no comparison in quality to the Kawis. Good luck.

There is a reason the Kaw costs more. They really are a better built engine than the Briggs. If it was a Kohler or Kawi I'd take the higher HP Kohler.
