It's a joke.
More then 3yrs old. Cant remember when thay made them with Kholer 20hp engines.
520 hrs are because he disconnected it.
Also the battery is missing & the bracket is way bent.
Take a look at the sides & paint. Kinda intresting how it's missing right in front of the wheel. Only thing that would casue that is by killing fence posts trying to get into back yards.
How much has this guy used it if he only changed his oil once so far.

I bought one in 2001 for under $4,000 NEW Sulky was arround $200. 19 HP Kaw. engine... larger tires etc...

Lesco 52" Hydrostatic Walk Behind Mower. I would like to get $1250 for this mower, but there is not a reserve and the starting bid is a lot less. This mower is over $5,500 new. This mower also includes a Lesco brand sulky, which is a little device you can stand on for those extra long and tedious mowing projects, and is about $500 new. This mower has a 20hp Kohler Command Engine with Electric Start. This walk behind mower out performs Toro, Exmark, Bunton, Bobcat and any other mower out there in pure cleanliness of cut. This mower makes beautiful lines, make your lawn look like a golf course!!!

I think this is a very interesting comparison he makes. :dizzy:

well if i went with joshuas thinking i would not have any mowers

for all we know its been sitting outside for 3 years and too me it looks like the batterys out of it not bent
i think if a guy could pick it up for $1200 that would be a pretty nice buy IMO

The Kohler serial number starts with 26, whick = 1996.

27=1997, 28=1998, 29=1999, 30=2000, 31=2001, 32=2002

He claims 3 yrs old but its closer to 6.

Upon closer look the sticker stated "Meets 1995-1998 California Emmisions standards"... So 1996 sounds about right...
so it's about 6 yrs old...

Also, the front rubber pice that holds the deck cover on is missing along with the from castor pins.
Don't look that guy used it much on his own lawn. check out the gass against the deck.

Check out the weight loss pills this guy bought & the 2 negitive comments this guy recieved..

Mowers ya buy from friends... Cars you dont...:)

Thanks guys... I am looking for a used WB Scag, but it seems like the only ones I find locally have 2500 plus hours on them, not something that a non mechanical guy like me wants to depend on... Any suggestions for where to look???

Here's a couple walk behinds on ebay, no engines on them...

The first one is a scag. I know you're looking for something complete, but what the hey. If you buy something used, your gonna have to become a little bit of a mechanic.

if I could test cut that mower and it met expectation, I'd give him $800 in a heart beat!

that's a great mower! and even if it is six years old it can have reasonable use on it.

the life if that motor depends on oil and air filter service more than the number of hours.

The Mower looks Beat. I would not give him a Penny over $400. I would say it has well over 1000hr on it just by the looks.

if you don't want the mower I don't think that you'd give anything for it.

lesco machines are made tough enough to be more than pretty.

my old lesco aint no looker but it will cut and stripe with anything out there of comparable horsepower.

that is a great unit as long as there is nothing wrong other than the usual wear and tear.

but I will admit that the fact that there is no battery doesn't make it look any better.

I didnt' think it looked all that bad, have seen much worse. It looks like it s in good condition ? I personally would only seriously consider it if I could go and run it , test cut , check the oil and etc..... If all that checked out OK I would buy it ... But a 52" is too big for me... I have a Lesco and those machines are built tough.. Very tough... When my scag goes into the crapper It will probably be replaced by a Lesco machine... Just my 2 Cents , as worthless as it may be ... LOL...
