What engine, what type of transmission, is it a 4x4, has it been used for snow plowing?
I am in the market for an F250. Distance is not an issue for the right truck.

Holes for the hubs on the front would lead me to think its 4x4 and for that price I'd venture to say it'll be the 5.4. Either way it's a hell of a deal at 4k.

No on the 1000.00 for the manifold job. I have three estimates 600- 900 for both sides including the gaskets. I did it my self 4 years back. it took me 5 hrs in my garage with no help.

If you could drive it to MI I'd give you $3500 for it. CT a bit too far for me to drive right now though.

Those are good engines. The last truck I sold with the same motor had 210k on it and had lots of life left. This is a hell of a deal if only I was closer.

Maybe someone should respond to that CL ad, and ask the seller how the miles now happen to be much lower than when he purchased it?

I am the person who sold it ..It has and read 166 k not 66 Wow that is screwy. I just called the add rite now at 1046pm and he says he got it at the auction with 66k. Needless to say i will be calling the dealer who i sold it to first thing monday morning....

They figured they would offset the cost of replacing the intake gaskets by rolling back the odometer...woah

kj330
07-18-2010, 12:14 AM
It is crazy. I have never seen this done so blatenly. Same state and like 40 miles away. I cant wait to talk to the dealer and hear what they have to say..

kj330
07-18-2010, 12:15 AM
And i believe the dealer fixed the manifold leak. I passed it in town the next day and it sounded like new...IDK

Mowingman
07-20-2010, 07:12 PM
What was the outcome of your call? Has he changed the CL ad to reflect the true mileage?
Just curious.

Ad is gone. DMV said they contacted him today, and so did the Attorney Generals Office.

Kudos to you kj330. It's a small world we live in isn't it. Guys like this are what give dealers a bad name. Surely it wasn't the first time he did something like this either. Hopefully the fines are enough to make him think twice next time.
