Guys,

Had one of my customers call today to look at his 6-8 year old green (Summit?) ash tree, which appears to be declining. Took a look, and there is significant twig die back from the branch tips in, especially at the top of the canopy and occasionally toward eye level. First thing you think is EAB but I checked the trunk for borer holes/frass and did not see any evidence of this. Must be a disease, as I see several ash trees here having this canopy die back.

Any thoughts? I can get a pic on here if you need it.
Any good resources that I can consult?

Im not familiar with Ash trees or your area, but im sure your local county extension office would be able to help or a CC or University Hort. department.

I'm not sure about the tree you are talking about, but it looks like the EAB is in your area. Google "Rochester, MN emerald ash borer", it'll give you a map of infestations in the area.
