Fine Fescue at 4"?

So I have a lawn that is mostly Fine Fescue and it seems as if it has been mowed around 4 to 4.5" previously and seems to be fine though spotty near the sidewalk where salt has been spread.

Anyways, my question is should I continue to cut at this height or cut at the max "optimum" mowing height 3"?

irrigation????? where do you live?????? plenty of rain??????? fertilize???????? many factors to consider. I only cut at 4" during the heat of the summer. 3.5 any other time.

No irrigation other than rain. NW PA. Plenty of rain. No Fert schedule.

cut at 3.5 if your getting plenty of rain. In a hot spell with little rain go to 4
