Hi Guys,

Working on about an acre. Sandy soil. The yard is rough (lots of dips). I'm hauling in a lot of black dirt with a dump trailer. I've got a bobcat skidsteer.

Trying to figure out the best way to spread the dirt. I've tried using the bobcat bucket to slowly dump the dirt as I back up but it still ends up spilling out and piling up. The bucket doesn't work the best for spreading either. It seems that you end up with the dirt being a lot thicker than necessary.

Just wondering how you guys spread dirt on a yard? I'm assuming you do it the same way I'm doing. But if there is a better way, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks!

A topdressing machine would be your best bet.

And remember, black dirt, doesnt mean it is a living soil as many have been told.

Black dirt can be so sterile, oxygen deprived that nothing will grow in it.

Get the soil tested before its too late, to determine if its capable of sustaining plant life.

If its good, rock out :dancing:
