I had a wee bit of a close call on Wednesday. I was on the Dixie and started around a blind corner.

Now I've been around this corner about 50 times so I should know it by now. Here it is a little further around the "bush".

Just about the time I had the view in the pic above ^^ the right rear tire of the Dixie started to slip down into this.

This ditch is about 6 feet deep. It could have been very ugly. As soon as I felt myself heading down in the back I gave the Dixie full forward stick. Thank God for those Turf Boss II tires. They really bit in and just pull the Dixie right on out.

In this pic you can see where the mower deck sank down and scalped the dickens out of the grass.

happened to me about a month ago, just started to rain and was turning around on a slope of about 3 feet that butted up against a drainage culvert that was about 8" deep with a foot of water at the bottom of it. Most scared I have ever been while mowing.

Man, that looks like it could have been nasty. I'm glad you were skilled enough to make it out with no damage or injuries.

Yes, glad you made it out, and with the DC too. A 33-year-old inmate here working to get his sentence reduced flipped a mower into Coffee Creek here last Friday and it pinned him underwater upside-down. He didn't live. Witness said the ground gave way under the mower. I wonder how many hours the guy had under his belt.
