I'm looking for a way to find out if I can use a better oil filter than stock at the price they want..

I'm having trouble finding a cross reference.

I'm looking at Mobil1, Amsoil, and Baldwin and possibly Wix..
Anyone doing this??

Try a K&N with the nut on the back... eliminate the filter wrench

+1 on the Napa Gold, they are Wix filters.Napa even had the inner and outer filter in Napa Gold
for my Donaldson can on my mower for a heck of a lot less than the dealer. They also have the big Kohler style fuel filters for deal.

Yes to Wix (Napa Gold), you can buy them online, quality filter and very inexpensive.

Say no to K&N, they are junk.

This isn't fiction, this is fact and well proven by those that study the quality of oil filters, materials used, construction, etc.

Rich
