Can anyone help me identify my lawn? Picture here: http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/9231/imag0002b.jpg

Thanks in advance!

Looks like Bermuda but then it don't. Might need to take a wider and far away pic of your lawn.

My initial response would be St. Augustine, but the picture is too close.

Is it a spreading grass? Does it have above ground runners? Below ground roots (rhizomes)? Take a pic of roots. Also, please take a pic when temp is under 45 degrees. I would like to see if it is brown in winter. If it doesn't spread, tall fescue is a possiblilty. A local experienced landscaper could help you.

folks when you take a picture, especially a close up, put something in picture such that we can get a reference for size. ie a small ruler, a quarter, a dollar bill, ect.

This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia

I go for St Augustine,

Zoysia, most likely in that area, but do need something to compare for scale. Not sure from this pic but may want to upsale a dethatching.
